Advance birthday celebration

It's my 20th birthday. So my friend bring me to The Chop House at VivoCity after seeing the reviews of this restaurant is not bad.

We had Pumpkin Soup as our starter. The soup is delicious but I think it's not thick enough.

Tater Tots as side dish, Banger n Mash as my main course. It's tasty and the portion is big. I can't finish this because there's 6 sausages and a quite big portion of mash potato.

We also ordered their Fish n Chips. But this dish make us a little disappointed.  The batter of the fish is too thick but the tartar sauce and spinach sauce is good.

The waiter recommend us Cool Mint and Aussie Punch for non-alcoholic drinks. My friend can't take alcohol while I do not want to have one as the next day still need to work. I would like to try their alcohol if I visit again on Friday night or weekend.

Overall, The Chop House is a nice place to hang out with friends and family. Their food is good enough though!

Celebrating birthday of my best mum

Wild Honey
No Place Like Home

Wild Honey is a restaurant that serve scrumptious all-day breakfast.. They have 2 branches, which is at Mandarin Gallery and Scotts Square.

I went to the one at Scotts Square because they take reservation. Mandarin Gallery branch does not take any reservation. It's my first time to Wild Honey. I came to celebrate my mum's birthday. I do not know that it is strictly no outside food and drinks even a birthday cakes. So I can only keep the cake aside and bring it home to eat.

Apple crumble from Rive Gauche
Their restriction is acceptable because they actually serve you cakes and you can order cakes from them for birthday but need to book 48hours in advance.

Wild Honey is definitely a nice place to enjoy your all-day breakfast. The decoration is colourful, unique and cozy. Its dim lighting creates some romance. The intimate and relaxed ambience makes it an ideal place to unwind with family and friends.

Now on the food.

Dad's baked bean with spicy tomato & smoky ham hock sauce ( $5 )

Basket of Brazilian bread ( $6)
- Warm, soft, plump, addictive
- come in 6pcs

Cumberland Pork Sausage ( $6 )

Tunisian ( $19 ) is one of the signature dish. A sizzling pan of spicy shakshouka (tomato, onion, red pepper, chilli), studded with Chorizo sausage, crowned with two fried eggs, signature brioche & Israeli salad.

Norwegian ( $26 )
Avocado, grilled asparagus spears, two poached eggs wrapped with smoked salmon, Hollandaise sauce & salmon pearls on whole wheat brioche.

Scandinavian ( $26 )
Grilled salmon fillet on crispy potato rosti, grilled asparagus spears with Hollandaise sauce.

I Love New York ( $24 )
Scrumbled eggs mixed with caramelized onions and smoked salmon and sesame bagel with herbed cream cheese.

Monte Cubano Sandwich ( $16 )
Ciabatta with pulled pork & Virginia ham, Dijon mustard, pickles and potato

Mandarin Wilderness ( $9 )
Ice blended mix of raspberry, banana, mandarin and honey.
My mum thought it was a dessert because it looked like gelato. It was a beautiful coral pink served with a string of fresh raspberries. It appeared like a berry drink but it had the unmistakable flavour of bananas. Wonderfully refreshing!

Wild Mocha Dolche
Mix of espresso, chocolate, honey and milk. The taste is special, comforting & delicious and you can never find the same in other places.

Their very famous and signature raspberry scone. This was the free gift from the manager (I guess) because she know it was my mum's birthday. The scone is fluffy, totally a must try if you pay a visit to Wild Honey.

Satisfying and happy yummy dinner for mum's birthday celebration. Everyone enjoy it and we loved it!

Wild Honey
I will return again for sure! :)
