SWEET 21 <3 <3

12 Sept 15, I'm officially 21 years old..

I'm so happy that my birthday party is quite successful although I'm dissapponted with the buffet catering .. I ordered from King's Kitchen (halal certified) which is a subsidiary of Kim's Kitchen. The rendang chicken is more like curry chicken and taste is really not good. Fruity salad prawn is not fresh enough and they actually use canned fruit.. Fried rice is too salty, honey drumlet not nice also. [forget to take photo to show how bad is it]

DIY little deco on the wall

Princess cake from The Cake Shop.. I chose Black Forest cake. The taste is good but cream is a bit too thick. Overall is good, I'm happy with it.. Thanks for doing me such a beautiful cake ..

With my parents .. Thank you them for helping me to make this party possible within one month planning.

Best mates I met in my first workplace. I'm grateful to have you all coming to celebrate my 21st..

Road Trip to Malaysia ~ Japanese Village 18/6/15

After a night stay at Colmar Tropicale, we had Asian buffet breakfast before move on to Japanese Village which is just 5-10mins drive from Colmar.

It's a complimentary buffet breakfast for your night stay at the hotel.
Then, we check out the hotel and headed to Japanese Village.

To reach here, you need to walk up around 50 steps of staircase (I never count the steps, just guessing) and a steep road.. Both sides of the road are trees, a jungle and I saw a lizard. And there's quite a lot of Mosquitos, luckily I bring along Mosquitos repellent pad, because Mosquitos love me lots..

Gigantic millipede?

Walking up the hill to the Japanese Tea House / Garden.

You get to rent a kimono for RM20.00 for 20mins at this Japanese Tea House. To enter the house for photo taking session, you must rent a kimono. Since I'm here and it is just RM20.00 of rental, of course I will not miss the opportunity to wear a kimono for photo taking.

Although this place is small, I would love staying here because I feel very peaceful and I love the cool & fresh air, with a great view of nature.

Road Trip to Malaysia ~ Colmar Tropicale 17/6/15

It's my first time being here, Colmar Tropicale. I've heard of this place quite a long time ago but never find a chance to visit. Since it's a road trip to Malaysia with family, I shouldn't miss the chance to visit Colmar Tropicale.

Colmar Tropicale is a French theme village. It's definitely a beautiful and comfortable place to relax. So long never been away from the city and enjoy the peace. Totally enjoy my day here with very little people because it was weekday.

All the building is really just like you were in France. But something I expected was missing, which is the aroma of coffee.

This is my family room at Camelia Block of Colmar Tropicale. The room is clean, tidy and spacious. Have a very good night sleep on the king-sized bed.

Let's have a look of the night view ^^

How can you miss French Fine Dining when you're in a French theme village. So we have our dinner at La Cigogne. This meal cost us RM372.50 and I think it's definitely worth the price. It is just so yummyyyyy...

Road Trip to Malaysia ~ Ipoh 13/6/15

It's school holidays and I already stop working for more than a months. So we rent a car and went for a week road trip in Malaysia.

Daddy drive all the way from Singapore to Ipoh for breakfast and continue our way to hometown, Sungai Petani, Kedah to visit our relative.

We had our breakfast at Yoke Fook Moon. Actually I wanna try the dim sum at Ming Court but it was full since it's weekend. No choice but to go to Yoke Fook Moon.

After dim sum, we had our favourite tau fu fah. Ipoh's tau fu fah, claimed to be real tasty due to the Ipoh's Mountain Water. Funny Mountain Tau Fu Fah is the most famous serves one of the best tau fu fah in entire Ipoh. They have a very long history in Ipoh. When I was in Malaysia back then, I always visited their stall if go to Ipoh town. That time, the stall seems run down and not attractive.

Times flies and it's almost 5 years not visiting their stall to have the very smooth tau fu fah, which actually melts in mouth. They have now moved to the new shop next door. It is more spacious and more attractive now. So much different from my memory.
They are no longer serves tau fu fah in ginger sugar, only white sugar. A bit disappointed, because their ginger sugar is really nice. The texture of the tau fu fah is also not as smooth as last time already. But it is still "thumb-up" compared to others. They stated opening time 10.30am but when I visited two weeks ago at 10am, they already start selling and there is a short queue.

Mother's Day Celebration

Mummy said it's been a long time we, the whole family, never have a sumptuous dinner together..

Therefore, daddy decided to go to fine-dining Japanese or Korean restaurant because mummy loves Japanese and Korean food rather than Western. This is for Mother's Day Celebration too.

After doing some research on the Internet, eldest brother suggest Tamashii Robataya, which is located at the Level 2 of The Offshore Building, North Canal Road (near Boat Quay). It serves one of the best robatayaki (traditional Japanese grilled, cooked in front of customer and served direct) in town.

It was definitely a unique culinary experience at Tamashii Robataya begins with the freshest Japanese ingredients showcased for your selection.

Grilled squid. I'm not a squid lover but I'm so in love with this. It was grilled with sea salt and squeeze the slices of lemon on it. That's all but it's so amazing and the squid is grilled just nice, not too chewy. I love it!

So excited by this grilled whole Chikodai Shioyaki. The young sea bream was display at the counter for your selection. It is only slightly flavored with a little salt, so beautifully grilled and fleshy. Just look out for those tiny bones!

I forgot what this called. It's a soup cooked with the meat of the seashell and serves in its shell.

Clam with rice wine

Grilled black pork

Fish cake to eat with chopped ginger

Here's the sashimi. Sashimi must be really fresh to taste good. This is definitely the best sashimi I have ever eat. The salmon is so fatty and it melts in your mouth. Heaven!

They serves free free-flow sencha.

This meal cost us more than $400.
