Malacca trip 10/12/13-11/12/13

Holiday away from Singapore? Cheaper short getaway with family, just to relax? Malacca will be a great choice..

Marvelux Hotel

Family room with two king size bed. The hotel is quite new so everything is clean and hygiene. Room is big enough. The price for this room is about MYR 350.

Peranakan fusion cuisine is a must-eat in Malacca.. Recommend : Nyonya Makko. Definitely never miss out peranakan cuisine if I go to Malacca.

Beancurd with satay sauce.. The satay sauce really nice..

The sour plum squid is a little too sour.. I don't really like it because I don't eat sour food.

The chendol at Makko is the best with their Gula Melaka. This bowl of chendol is MYR 3.50.

Sweet tooth?
Malacca' best-known brands : Nadeje Patisseries. Their mille crepes have become near-legendary since 2006.

Rum and Raisin

Tiramisu

Green Tea

Pleasure rich layer of butter soft creaminess; immaculate in terms of texture, subtle and not too sugary, taste-wise. It only cost MYR 9.90. I guess you wouldn't find such price in Singapore.

The flavour I love most is Green Tea. Although I'm not a green tea lover, but the green tea crepe cake is really tasty.

Having a pot of tea after eating mille crepes is just nice. This is organic white peony with rose tea. The aroma of the tea is great.

Highly recommend Nadeje if you want to have western dessert for high tea.

Want some chicken rice ball?
I guess Chung Wah is the famous one as the queue is so long. Those people are willing to queue under the scorching sun just to eat the chicken rice ball. I was lazy to queue for so long under the sun, so never try it. It's just near to Red House, beside Hard Rock Cafe, opposite 三叔公饼家.
